About Octogram
Octogram is a fast-paced word puzzle game for mobile. Players are given an 8×8 grid of letters and swipe across connected tiles to form valid dictionary words. Longer and rarer words score more points, and in timed modes each word you find adds seconds back to the clock. The goal is simple: find as many high-scoring words as you can before time runs out.
The app is free to play and available on iOS and Android. Signing in with your Google account is optional — it lets you save your stats and game history across devices and post your scores to the global and daily leaderboards. We only use your basic Google profile (name and email) to create your account and identify you on the leaderboard; we never post to your account or access any other data.
Game Modes
Five distinct modes let you play at a sprint, a marathon, or no pace at all.
A new board every day. Same letters for everyone. One run only.
Start at 60 seconds. Find words to add time. Play until the clock runs out.
A bite-sized 4×4 board with diagonal moves. Quick, tight, tricky.
60 seconds, no extensions. How many points can you bank?
No timer, no pressure. Just letters and words.
Scoring System
Every word scores letter points (like Scrabble) amplified by a length multiplier. A 7-letter word is worth ~5× more than a 4-letter one. Rare letters — J, Q, X, Z — pay dividends.
In timed modes, each word you find also adds seconds back to the clock. Longer words add more — a 9-letter word buys you a full minute.
Languages
Full dictionary support with language-aware letter scoring.
