Using the Service

Octogram is a free word game. You may use the Service for personal, non-commercial entertainment. When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Cheat, exploit bugs, or use automated tools, bots, or scripts to manipulate scores, leaderboards, or gameplay
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code, word lists, or data of the Service, except where permitted by law
• Interfere with, disrupt, or place undue load on our servers or infrastructure
• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms

Accounts

You can play Octogram without an account, but creating one (via email, Apple Sign In, or Google Sign In) lets you save your stats and appear on leaderboards. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, including those used for cheating or abuse. You can request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us at [email protected].

User content and conduct

If you choose a username or submit any content (such as a display name), you must not use content that is offensive, infringing, impersonating, or otherwise objectionable. We reserve the right to remove content or reset usernames that violate these standards, at our discretion.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, code, name, logo, and word lists, is owned by Octogram and protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for its intended purpose. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.

Leaderboards and fair play

Leaderboards and stats are intended to reflect genuine gameplay. We may, at our discretion, adjust, reset, or remove scores and accounts we reasonably believe to be the result of cheating, exploitation, or manipulation, in order to keep the competition fair for everyone.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any defects will be corrected. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Octogram will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Because the Service is provided free of charge, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you have paid us, which is zero.

Changes to the Service

We are continually improving Octogram and may add, change, or remove features, modes, or content at any time. We may also suspend or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, without liability to you.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
